Odo Broni Slaps GH¢10M Defamation Suit Over Online Claims |
The case was filed at the High Court of Justice in Accra on April 20, 2026, and reported publicly on April 24, 2026. Odo Broni is also seeking a public apology and a retraction of the statements she says were made against her.
According to the reports, the dispute centers on a series of online allegations that Odo Broni says have damaged her reputation and caused distress to her and her family.
The suit claims that Queen Emma and others associated with the online circle known as “Team Legal Wives” subjected Odo Broni and her six children to sustained cyberbullying and a coordinated campaign of harassment across social media platforms.
The claim further alleges that the defendant used her TikTok platform to publish what the writ describes as false and harmful statements, including claims that Odo Broni bribed a judge in connection with an earlier legal dispute tied to her late husband’s funeral rites.
The suit also says Queen Emma accused Odo Broni of infidelity, questioned the paternity of her children, and pushed for DNA testing.
More seriously, the lawsuit says the TikToker went further by alleging that Odo Broni was responsible for Daddy Lumba’s death and had strangled him.
The reports also say the statements included insulting labels and language that Odo Broni’s legal team considers defamatory and humiliating.
Through her lawyers at Cardinal Law Group, Odo Broni is asking the court not only for GH¢10 million in damages, but also for an order compelling the defendant to issue an unreserved apology and retract the alleged defamatory remarks.
One of the reported remedies sought is for the apology to be published in the Daily Graphic and on social media platforms.
The lawsuit marks a major escalation in a public dispute that has played out largely online.
While social media has become a powerful space for commentary and entertainment, this case underscores how quickly online accusations can move beyond gossip and turn into serious legal battles, especially when the claims touch on family life, personal reputation, and the circumstances surrounding a death.
For now, the case is expected to draw significant attention because of the high-profile figures involved and the size of the claim.
Odo Broni’s move signals that she is prepared to defend her name in court rather than allow the allegations to continue circulating unchecked.
The outcome will likely be watched closely by both entertainment observers and legal commentators in Ghana.
